This week’s playlist is inspired by Fearne, brought to you by the flower queen herself, Ashley Johnson.

Getting to sit at the table with all of these wonderful humans, was beyond incredible and filled my heart with so much happiness and joy. I have come to absolutely adore each and every one of them. I felt so lucky to share and be a part of the story and the space we were creating together. There’s really nothing like it.

Fearne has been a delight to play. There’s so much freedom in acting on your first instinct. She’s chaotic, she’s lovely and daring and an absolute “experiment in terror,” wrapped up in all of the bows. She’s an ancient, rococo pin-up faun, that’s a little more than meets the eye. A little left of center, coy and deeply curious.

I don’t want to give too much away, in case we ever get to revisit Fearne’s story. But I’ll let these songs and the lyrics they carry, tell her story.

This is such a beautiful piece. Like the violin that remains constant throughout, Fearne flits about, finding friends along the way. Making beautiful music together, intertwining in one another. You may catch a glimpse of her in the woods she knows so well, perfectly content alone. Still dancing and enjoying herself just the same.
