Exandria Unlimited: Calamity Q&A with Brennan Lee Mulligan

It’s so wonderful and exciting getting to share Exandria Unlimited: Calamity with all of you! We can’t wait to see this story unfold and we are looking forward to taking this journey together (We’re sure nothing bad will happen…).

With so many new storytellers in this special mini-series, we thought it would be fun to share a little more about our Calamity Cast with a Q&A! HOWEVER, to make it a little more spicy, we made our Q&A “End of the World” themed to match the Calamity vibe.

To start us off, we asked the incredible Game Master for Exandria Unlimited: Calamity, BRENNAN LEE MULLIGAN, to tell us a little about himself.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your character in Exandria Unlimited: Calamity.

Hey! My name’s Brennan! I’m the GM for Calamity, and I couldn’t be happier to be here! I’ll be playing the role of “everybody else” in this tale of our six beloved Captains of Avalir – occupying all the NPCs, as well as various sundry and physical phenomena, and a host of inanimate objects!

Let’s imagine that some sort of unavoidable disaster is on the brink, you’ve found some sort of way to accept it and start planning for the absolute best event of your life. What would you do and who would accompany you?

To quote Captain James T. Kirk, “I don’t believe in the no-win scenario,” so I must regretfully reject the premise of the question! I accept that the disaster may, in fact, be unavoidable, but you know your boy’s raging against the dying of the light!
That said, at the shindig AFTER we either prevent or succumb to disaster, I’ll be at a diner in the corner booth with good friends drinking milkshakes and laughing!

In your opinion, what is the most iconic fictional death in popular media?

The Death of Boromir! The Falls of Rauros! The pathos! The heroism! The redemption! “Our people…” C’MON!!!

Do you have a bucket list? If so, tell us all about it.

Absolutely! The only ones I’ve got on there right now are “Ten-gallon, five-gallon, popcorn, KFC, mop, ice, ashcan, industrial, lunch pail, and sandcastle” but I’m working on finding more soon!

What do you want people to remember you for?

I’m okay if people don’t remember me! But I very much hope that when my time’s up, I’ve left my little patch of the world in the nicest condition possible and that I gave as much kindness to other people as I could!
