The battle against otherworldly foes plaguing The Fairelands is relentless and Candela Obscura must return with a new circle of investigators and a new game master leading the way.

Our courageous circle includes Taliesin Jaffe (newly in the player seat!) with guests Aimee Carrero, Imari Williams, and Alexander Ward led by game master Liam O’Brien! While Taliesin takes on a new role in this circle, he still remains our trusted, all-knowing lightkeeper outside of the game.

WHAT’S CANDELA OBSCURA & HOW CAN I PLAY?
Candela Obscura is an ongoing monthly horror actual play that follows an esoteric order of investigators as they use centuries of knowledge to fight back against a mysterious source of corruption and bleed. Set in a fictional turn-of-the-century inspired region known as The Fairelands, a place of terrifying magick, each episode begins with an inciting incident prompting a circle of investigators to uncover and solve the mystery at hand. This means that each episode is completely standalone and you’re free to jump in without needing to catch up on previous chapters or episodes.
The series leverages gaming as a story mechanic and features the Candela Obscura tabletop roleplaying game from Darrington Press, which is our first TTRPG built on the Illuminated Worlds System.

This new circle will begin their assignment on February 29th at 7pm Pacific on Twitch and YouTube!
Candela Obscura will then continue on the last Thursday of each month with the following release dates:

- Candela Obscura: The Crimson Mirror | Episode 2 – March 28th, 2024 at 7pm Pacific
- Candela Obscura: The Crimson Mirror | Episode 3 – April 25th, 2024 at 7pm Pacific
The YouTube VOD will be available the following Monday after the episode’s initial broadcast and the podcast version will be available one week following the initial broadcast on your favorite podcast streaming service.
