Critical Recap: Critical Role C4E10 “Blood For Blood”
Written by Dani on January 14, 2026
Hello and welcome to Critical Recap! I’m Jared Deiro, Critical Role’s Junior Lore Keeper, here to guide you through the dungeons of Castle Delawney in Critical Role Campaign 4 Episode 10 Blood for Blood!
UNSTOPPABLE FORCE
Two days after the execution of Thjazi Fang, the Schemers sit in the secluded aviary of the Seven Stars. Hidden behind the many cages of winged homing pigeons and hunting falcons, Murray, Azune, Hal, and Bolaire decompress after their long day:
Azune watched many of his fellow soldiers of the Brethren Hall get fired, only to fall straight into the arms of the Candescent Creed’s mercenary company, “The Sons of Dawn”.
Bolaire continued his tour for Lady Cormoray, bringing her to where he keeps the real Pariah Blades. She pricked her finger on one of the sword points, fascinated, then requested to collaborate with Bolaire, hoping to move the artifacts from the Lloy Wing to the Selodyne Wing.
Murray sat in Dean Kora’s office and was told that if she continues to act out of line, Kora will have to force her hand. Dean Kora tells Murray that she worked too hard to get into her position; she knows Murray did as well. Murray agrees that worrying about the Sundered Houses is not her job, she’ll “be good”.
Hal walked through the Tintazi Wood with his daughter, Shadia. They saw small obelisk-like cairn stones. A plot marked for digging. Shadia asked why he now wears Thjazi’s sword. “Something to remember him by.” Even Hal isn’t sure if that’s true.
Hal sits, exhausted, in the aviary of the Seven Stars. He looks at his three friends and wonders what it means to tell part of the truth and not the whole thing.
IMMOVABLE OBJECT
Tyranny (disguised as Occtis) can feel herself slowly turning to stone, until something within her demonic blood pushes through the creature’s magic.
Here in the dungeons of Castle Delawney, Tyranny, Wicander, Thimble, Kattigan, Wulferic, and Teor charge at the Seremai Knight and the four guards at his side.
Kattigan directs Wulferic to watch over Wick as they all hear a colossal BOOM deeper in the chamber. Teor calls out to his brother, but hears nothing except the clanging of armor.
The basilisk slithers its way around the room and across the ceiling, attempting to turn its enemies to stone, until Thimble delivers the final blow to the reptilian monster, turning IT to stone.
The Seremai Knight goes into a frenzy and pursues Thimble, striking her with his poisoned blade. One by one, his fellow guards fall (or get turned to stone). Wick and Thimble return the blows as they hone their skills and surround the Seremai Knight.
Another BOOM quakes from deep in the chamber. They wonder if something is moving, or being moved. Teor catches fluttering pages covered in glyphs and artistic drawings of figures in contrapposto poses. They rush to the other chamber where they find a room FULL of statues being loaded into a wagon. The Seremai Knight lifts statues into a cart with magically amplified gauntlets. Thimble recognizes these bracers. The last time she saw them, they were worn by Callowyn Royce, Aranessa’s younger brother. Wick catches the wagon on fire, and Thimble rushes the Seremai Knight, killing him.
Wick is knocked out just before Teor kills the final guard. Wick feels light draining from his body until something divine pulls him to life. Suddenly, wings of light tear from his back as he simultaneously extinguishes the burning wagon.
They evaluate their surroundings just as Teor sees a statue’s face he recognizes.
That is all for Episode 10 of Critical Role, FOLKS!
