Brand new game announcements, reprints, and updates galore so we hope you are sitting down because our very first State of the Press is going to make your heart skip a beat!Ā

YUP! You read that correctly! Weāll be at Gen Con this year, and we can’t wait to see some of you there and show off our games.

Created and designed by our amazing producer, Kyle Shire, Queen by Midnight is the ultimate battle royale deck building game of powerful princesses in a magical free for all where the most powerful princess left standing will be crowned the next Midnight Queen! Whether youāre cunning, ruthless, or forbidding, you must use unique tactics of brawn and deception to combat and scheme your way into succession! This badass game features gorgeous art by Ameera Sheikh, Michal Ivan, and Mike Pape, and graphic design by Matt Paquette & Co. We are so excited to have Queen by Midnight available to play at Gen Con!Ā
BRAND NEW RPGs
Weāre also thrilled to finally announce that Darrington Press has not one, but TWO new RPG systems releasing in the next year and weāre super excited to preview both online and IRL this year at Gen Con!
The first being Illuminated Worlds, a d6 dice pool system, designed for shorter, arc-driven, campaigns and packaged in a way that it can be used with any type of setting you can think of. It was created by two incredible game designers that we have so much love for, Stras Acimovic and Layla Adelman. Another brand new system that is still in development that we want to briefly dish on is Daggerheartāa fun and fresh update to the fantasy genre of RPGs that is designed for long-term campaign play and character progression.
And to bring you up to speed!
We have some updates on a few of our past announced but not yet released projects. Many of you may be wondering about Syndicultā well, it is still in development! Weāre still playtesting and tweaking it and hope to share a full update on that soon. Also, Guardians of Matrimonia, a game of fantastical wedding planning by Banana Chan and Yeonsoo Julian Kim that was originally designed by Matt and Marisha for their wedding, will be available sometime early next year. And finally, Critical Role Adventures is on hold indefinitely as we prioritize other projects to make sure we are giving you the best possible game experiences.Ā

A Familiar Problem is available to play for FREE, and coming soon youāll be able to enjoy reprinted volumes of The Chronicles of Exandria Vol. I: The Tale of Vox Machina, and The Chronicles of Exandria Vol. II: The Legend of Vox Machina; both of which celebrate tons of international Critter art.
