In October 2021, we met a ragtag crew in the Marquet city of Jrusar called Bells Hells and together they tugged the threads of destiny in ways not even the gods could anticipate. To celebrate five years of Bells Hells, we’re bringing the spirit of Marquet to you with the newest release from our Scanlan Shorthalt Music record label, Welcome to Marquet!
Marquet itself is a rugged land of jungle and desert that survived a near-catastrophic reshaping during the Calamity to become a place of natural beauty, rich culture, scholarship, and rebellion.
We hope this new Marquet-inspired soundtrack helps you weave a little extra magic into the stories you tell at your table. And for all you wonderful actual play streamers out there, we welcome you to use this music in your own adventures! All we ask is that you include a link to stream or purchase the album.
Welcome to Marquet will be our final installment of the Welcome to Exandria music collection alongside our previous releases Welcome to Tal’Dorei and Welcome to Wildemount.
This album features 18 new tracks created by an incredible team of composers—Neal Acree, Omar Fadel, Colm McGuinness, Ghiya Rushidat, Karem Salem, and the team at Hexany Audio. Plus new stunning album art by Kent Davis. Coordinating these teams and helming this project were music supervisor Laura Katz and Critical Role’s Associate Creative Director, Maxwell James.
Welcome to Marquet is available today for purchase and streaming on all major digital music platforms.
"Music has always been near and dear to my heart, and creating original music for Matt’s world alongside Laura Katz (Supe Troop) and this incredible group of composers has been a dream come true. We set out years ago to create our “Welcome to Exandria” series, with each album capturing the unique sound and spirit of a campaign and the continent where its story began. Welcome to Marquet completes that journey. I’m incredibly grateful to Ghiya Rushidat, Karem Salem, Omar Fadel, Neal Acree, Colm McGuinness, and the team at Hexany Audio for the beautiful work they brought to this album. Whether it becomes the soundtrack to your own adventures or takes you back through some of ours, I hope you enjoy this final musical journey through Exandria as much as we enjoyed creating it."
