We can’t wait to bring a whole new set of characters to the Midst Universe with our new show MOONWARD: A Midst Roleplaying Story! In this four-part mini-series, you’ll join our three Midst Creators: Xen, Sara Wile, Matt Roen, alongside Marisha Ray and Liam O’Brien for a standalone, improvisational adventure to the destroyed moon of Midst.
Moonward will premiere on August 7th at 7pm Pacific on Beacon, Midst.co, your favorite podcast streaming platform, the Critical Role Twitch Channel, the Critical Role YouTube Channel, AND our brand new Midst Cosmos YouTube Channel!
New episodes of Moonward will continue Wednesdays on Beacon, Midst.co, your favorite podcast streaming platform, and the new Midst YouTube channel.

What is Moonward About?
Moonward: A Midst Roleplaying Story is a four-part mini-series set shortly after the events of the Midst podcast and features a cast of characters on an unsanctioned rescue mission to the sunken remains of Midst’s destroyed moon. Only problem is this moon currently resides in a cosmic ocean of spooky darkness known as the Fold and the Fold is filled with tearrors that cause unknown reality-bending mayhem to those exposed…what could possibly go wrong? Are you with us so far?
In this adventure, our cast will weave a tale together without any defined gaming system (other than the power of Imagination! 🌈).
You don’t need any prior knowledge of the Midst podcast to enjoy Moonward as it’s a completely standalone story! So if you enjoy immersive storytelling, weird Fold magic, and a heart-wrenching plot, then this is the perfect place to dip your toe into this indescribable and rich world.
Who Will Be Our Storytellers?
The Midst Cosmos are created by the immensely talented trio known collectively as Third Person! But these three friends (Xen, Sara, and Matt) didn’t initially set out to make an audio drama! They originally created the universe of Midst through a playful and improvised form of collaborative storytelling that does not use any defined gaming system.
Moonward will follow this improvised form of storytelling and give you all a front-row seat to the way Third Person crafts their podcast!
Xen, a co-creator of Midst, will loosely guide the story while simultaneously playing live music, sound mixing, and creating all sorts of sound sorcery in real time. And joining them on this heroic voyage are fellow Third Person members Matt Roen and Sara Wile alongside our very own Liam O’Brien and Marisha Ray!
