Is Critical Role captioned?

Critical Role is captioned by an amazing team of editors and captions are used on both the live broadcast and on the VOD, thanks to episodes being pre-recorded. However, occasionally stream issues occur that cause captions to be unavailable or to fail during the stream. Check out how to enable captions on Twitch here.
Our captions go through an extensive captioning process for accuracy, which is important for a show that has a ton of interesting names and extensive lore. The process of finalizing captions can take some time based on the duration of our show, but if we ever encounter delays that prevent using final edited captions on our streams or VODs, we strive to have unedited captions in place until final captions are available. The YouTube description of each video is updated with which stage in the process the captions are at and any anticipated caption delays will be communicated in advance via our weekly programming schedule post Mondays at 10am Pacific on critrole.com.
