HYPE! Candela Obscura: The Circle of Tide & Bone Begins November 30th!

Candela Obscura shall continue to protect the Fairelands from magickal foes with a brand new three-episode arc that includes a new circle of supernatural investigators and a new gamemaster at the helm!
On November 30th, the Circle of Tide & Bone will grapple with their inner demons and confront ancient phenomena that seep from the foundations of Newfaire with gamemaster Aabria Iyengar and players Sam Riegel, Noshir Dalal, Gina Darling, Ashly Burch, and Liam O’Brien. Our all-knowing lightkeeper, Taliesin Jaffe, will also be returning as a guiding source of truth for the audience.
Candela Obscura: The Circle of Tide & Bone is completely standalone and doesn’t require any previous knowledge of past chapters to enjoy. So if you’ve been curious to see what Candela Obscura is all about, we invite you to jump right in and join us in this investigative horror series.
Whether you’re a returning member or joining us for the first time, here are a few helpful tips for how to play and where to watch Candela Obscura.
WHAT’S CANDELA OBSCURA & HOW CAN I PLAY?
Candela Obscura is an ongoing monthly horror drama that follows an esoteric order of investigators as they use centuries of knowledge to fight back against a mysterious source of corruption and bleed. Set in a fictional turn-of-the-century inspired region known as the Fairelands, a place of terrifying magick, each episode begins with an inciting incident prompting a circle of investigators to uncover and solve the mystery at hand.
The series leverages gaming as a story mechanic and features the Candela Obscura tabletop roleplaying game from Darrington Press, which is built on the Illuminated Worlds system.
You can download our free Quickstart Guide to play right now OR on November 14th, you’ll be able to make your own mark on the Fairelands with the complete Candela Obscura Core Rulebook! Find everything you need to play this game of investigative horror, including rules, character options for players, GM guidance on running your own campaigns, and expansive setting information like the metropolis of Newfaire, or the ruins of Oldfaire still teeming with the remnants of powerful magick.

WHEN & WHERE CAN YOU WATCH CANDELA OBSCURA: THE CIRCLE OF TIDE & BONE?
This new chapter will be unveiled on November 30th at 7pm Pacific on Twitch and YouTube!
Typically, Candela Obscura continues on the last Thursday of each month however, to not interfere with the holiday season, we’ll be adjusting the schedule very slightly with the following release dates:
- Candela Obscura: Tide & Bone | Episode 1 – November 30th, 2023 at 7pm Pacific
- Candela Obscura: Tide & Bone | Episode 2 – January 4th, 2023 at 7pm Pacific
- Candela Obscura: Tide & Bone | Episode 3 – January 25th, 2023 at 7pm Pacific
The YouTube VOD will be available the following Monday after the episode’s initial broadcast and the podcast version will be available one week following the initial broadcast on your favorite podcast streaming service.
