Darrington Press will be at Gen Con 2023!

Our brilliant game developers have been hard at work and we’re so excited to be returning to this convention and showing off the amazing new games we’ll be launching this year.

Our newest and most royal addition, Queen by Midnight, will be available to play and purchase onsite! PLUS, We’ll also be providing a chance to preview and play our two new RPGs, Candela Obscura and Daggerheart! Here are our events:

• Till the Last Gasp (2 hours): Play this 2-player dramatic storytelling game of duels! Spanning genres and settings, this game throws you straight into action and emotion – it’s all come down to this.
• Queen by Midnight (3 hours): Play this brand new battle-royale deck-building card game debuting at Gen Con! Princesses scheme and using guile, magic, and brawn to be crowned Queen by the stroke of midnight.
• Candela Obscura: Dressed to Kill (4 hours): In this assignment from the Quickstart Guide, a woman wearing a dress of unworldly hue collapses into a pile of glowing bones and viscera. Your esoteric order of investigators must uncover the truth. Take the new Illuminated Worlds System for a spin with this Candela Obscura assignment from Critical Role’s publishing arm, Darrington Press! This adventure is available for free in the Candela Obscura Quickstart Guide.
• Daggerheart: Adventure, Hope, and Fear (4 hours): Heroes needed! Create characters and embark upon a fresh fantasy adventure as you get a taste for this new system featuring rich, accessible storytelling and a focus on long-term campaign play.
