The Legend of Vox Machina Kickstarter Backer Survey FAQ
We’ve put together an FAQ for The Legend of Vox Machina Kickstarter backers to answer questions that may pop up around backer surveys.
Backer surveys collect information needed before physical backer rewards can be shipped. All backers must fill out a backer survey to receive their physical rewards.
Backer surveys must be submitted by March 14, 2021 by 11:59pm Pacific.
No shipping information was saved at the time pledges were made, so be sure to fill out the survey or you will not receive your physical rewards.
How do I find my backer survey?
Your backer survey can be located directly through Kickstarter using the following steps on desktop (please note this process in unavailable on mobile):
- Sign in to your Kickstarter.com account — make sure to sign into the Kickstarter account you backed The Legend of Vox Machina with.
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of the screen.
- Under the Backed Projects header, look for the The Legend of Vox Machina. If you don’t find it, click View All to locate it on the following page.
- Click on The Legend of Vox Machina
- Click on Survey
- After clicking on Survey, you will be able to see what you filled out or fill out the survey if you haven’t already.
Why didn’t I receive a backer survey?
Backer surveys are only sent to backers who will be shipped physical rewards. If you backed without selecting a tier or at SCOUT ($20) level, you will not receive a backer survey.
Additionally, backer surveys are sent out by tier. If you have yet to see your backer survey, keep an eye out for it over the next few days. Backer surveys will be staggered to allow us to properly monitor rollout.
What information is the backer survey collecting?
The backer survey collects your shipping address for physical backer rewards. For DEFENDER ($500-level) and above backers, the survey will also include a choice for how you would prefer to receive your signed pilot script. Why do you need my phone number and email address as part of the shipping address information?
Many shipping carriers require this information, particularly for international orders. To ensure accurate and efficient shipping, we need this information readily accessible.
What is the deadline for submitting my backer survey?
Backer surveys must be submitted by Sunday, March 14th by 11:59pm Pacific to guarantee your physical rewards will be shipped to you on time.
I submitted my backer survey already. Can I update my shipping address?
You can update your address in your backer survey up until the deadline for submission (Sunday, March 14, 2021 by 11:59pm Pacific). To update the address information on this and any other projects you may have backed, see Kickstarter’s help section here.
I’m not sure what my shipping address will be when rewards ship out. What do I do?
If you are not sure what your address will be when rewards ship, make a plan for them to be shipped to a friend, family member, or work address that can safely receive your package and forward it or hand it off to you. You can also inquire with local businesses that provide notary, copying, shipping, and faxing services as they may offer package receiving.
I’ve moved countries since I pledged. How do I adjust the country for shipping addresses?
Kickstarter does not allow the country field that was saved when you first pledged to be edited in the backer survey. Please contact our support team through critrole.com/kickstarter-support to provide your corrected address.
What happens if I don’t submit my backer survey before the deadline or if I noticed my shipping address is wrong after the deadline?
Contact our support team through critrole.com/kickstarter-support as soon as possible. If there is any way for our team to update the address they will do so, though your rewards may be delayed. Our team may not be able to update the address after the backer survey deadline has passed.
If we are unable to adjust your address, we recommend contacting the shipping carrier dispatching your package and your local post office as soon as you receive your tracking information to request the package is intercepted and held or redirected.
Please keep in mind that there may be applicable postage and/or fees associated with this change request and any inquiries should be directed to the service assisting you with this.
How do I find my backer number?
If you use our support contact form, you’ll notice that a backer number is required. You can find your backer number in your pledge confirmation email or directly in Kickstarter by going to your Backed Projects and clicking the blue + symbol for The Legend of Vox Machina project. Your backer number will be at the bottom of these details.

When will physical rewards be shipped?
Physical rewards will begin shipping in May 2021.
Will I have to pay customs fees/duties to receive my physical rewards?
Based on the variance in import laws and processes between countries it is difficult to predict whether you will be asked to pay additional fees to receive your rewards. If any customs fees are requested, you as the backer will be responsible for paying them. Depending on your country, you may be able to claim any incurred fees back or be exempt from paying them. Check in with your local customs office to learn more about how your rewards may be impacted.
My rewards include in-person events. Why is no information being collected on the backer survey in regards to those rewards?
With the current COVID-19 pandemic landscape, we are continuing to evaluate how best to navigate the rewards that are in-person events. We’ll be sure to reach out directly by email as we know more about the timing of the animated series release and if and when such events can be done safely.
Can I adjust my pledge or purchase add-ons?
These rewards are a thank you gift for backing The Legend of Vox Machina and as such we are unable to adjust pledge amounts or accommodate add-ons.
Some rewards aren’t showing on my survey. Will I still receive them?
You will, indeed! The breakdown of rewards shown as you fill out your survey only includes the original rewards, but rest assured those items unlocked by reaching stretch goals will be sent out along with your other rewards. Those additional items are listed below:
- All backers at the GUARDIAN ($100) and above tiers will receive The Legend of Vox Machina crew knitted beanie and an extra The Legend of Vox Machina d20 in their dice sets.
- In addition to the items unlocked above, all backers at the FIGHTER ($200) and above tiers will receive Vax’s Dagger Dagger Dagger letter opener set.
I have a question that’s not answered here. What do I do?
