Introducing: CRITICAL ROLE FOUNDATION!

Written by on September 24, 2020

Today is a milestone day for all of us here at Critical Role Land and we’re very proud to announce the next chapter in our story: Critical Role Foundation! Check out our announcement video and read on to learn more about our very first CRF project, which you can donate to RIGHT NOW!

OUR FIRST CAMPAIGN: LET’S FUND THE NATIVE YOUTH & CULTURE FUND WITH FIRST NATIONS!

For our very first fundraising campaign, we have partnered with the unbelievably awesome crew at First Nations, which is a highly-rated nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening American Indian economies and supporting healthy Native communities through a variety of programs, including their Native Youth & Culture Fund, which is the beneficiary for our very first campaign under the CRF banner.

Our very first fundraising goal is $50,000, which will fund the Native Youth & Culture Fund for two nonprofits located at Zuni Pueblo and Cochiti Pueblo in the American Southwest. You can learn more about these two impactful programs at zyep.org and kclcmontessori.org.

This work is crucial because right now, only about 85% of applications to the Native Youth & Culture Fund are supported. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the need in Native communities is even greater than before and in a recent survey conducted by First Nations, they learned that 35% of Native nonprofits anticipate having to reduce their staff size and 69% of Native nonprofits expect to see a revenue decrease as a result of COVID-19.

The Native Youth & Culture Fund is SUPER IMPORTANT because it supports grassroots projects that strengthen and renew cultural and spiritual practices, beliefs and values by engaging youth and elders in activities that demonstrate methods for documenting traditional ecological knowledge systems and their related practices and beliefs, increases youth leadership through mentorship programs, and increase access to cultural customs and beliefs as a means of reviving or preserving tribal language, arts, history or other culturally relevant topics.

If you have the means to do so, please consider a donation right now at criticalrolefoundation.org or donate using the widget below and help us revive the Native Youth & Culture Funds for young Native people at Zuni Pueblo and Cochiti Pueblo. We also have a boatload of information about our new non-profit and all of the amazing work that the good people at First Nations are doing, if you’d like to learn more.

Of course, sharing our campaign is also incredibly impactful and we’re calling on you, dear Critters, to help leave this world better than we found it.

For future updates, please follow our brand new Critical Role Foundation Twitter and Facebook accounts and sign for our CRF newsletter here.

As always, we appreciate your support deeply and are honored to have this opportunity to deepen our commitment to nonprofit work.

The Critical Role Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your donation is 100% tax deductible in the United States.
